Redondo Beach Lobster Festival

Fresh Lobsters and Entertaining Music

Head down to the Seaside Lagoon this Friday through Sunday, September 23 – 25 for the sixteenth annual Lobster Festival. I haven’t been to this event in years. I’m talking years before I had kids, so I can’t offer too many helpful hints. I do remember that the music was fun and the seafood was yummy.

Tickets for Surf and/or Turf

$12 will get you in the gate, but no food. Those with a military ID get in free all weekend. Take a look at the Tickets page for more information on all the meal possibilities. You can choose from smaller or larger Maine lobsters, lobster and steak, couples packages, and more.

Fun for the Entire Family

According to their site, there are a variety of activities for the entire family including stand-up paddle board lessons, mechanical bull rides, a kiddie area, carnival games, face painting, and balloon art. Visit Lobster Festival Family Fun for more information.

Helpful Hints

Unfortunately, because it’s been years since I tried this one, I don’t have many helpful hints other than park somewhere besides the paid lots along the marina. Maybe try to find parking on Catalina Avenue, throw the kids in the BoB and enjoy a lovely walk down to the lagoon. The BoB is a must here, as is the JJ Cole picnic blanket. There should be some nice grass areas on which to enjoy a picnic.

I’ll be out of town this weekend, but my husband is planning on taking Big L and Little A to the Lobster Festival. If you see them, say “Hi!”
