Sea Scare

Bring your kiddos dressed in costume to trick-or-treat through this quaint Cabrillo Aquarium. The sixth annual Halloween Sea Scare will feature a treasure hunt, scary sea creature feeding demonstrations, bioluminescence crafts, ghost stories, and prizes for best costume. 

This year will feature an all-new Mermaid’s Lair along with last year’s popular Voodoo Village and stage show Evilution.

When? Saturday, October 29, 6 – 9 pm

Boo at the L.A. Zoo

This popular spooktacular event is back again this year at the Los Angeles Zoo. Eucalyptus Grove will turn into a giant pumpkin patch with jack-o-lantern carving, photo opportunities and eerie crafts. The Creepy Creature Encounter at the Winnick Family Children’s Zoo will feature trick-or-treating and other Halloween entertainment.

Don’t miss the Stomp ‘n Chomp when hippos, tigers, zebras, and other animals tear into some unsuspecting pumpkins.

When? Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30

Halloween Party at Del Amo

Radio Disney Junior is inviting all little ghouls, goblins, and bootiful princesses to come have a spooktacularly good time. Stop by Del Amo Fashion Center, near the Jo-Ann Fabrics store, on Saturday, dressed in your Halloween costume and join in the activities and games.

Pumpkin Race Festival

You have to check out Manhattan Beach’s 21st annual Pumpkin Race. Families are encouraged to come dressed in costume and create their own crazy pumpkin race cars at the pier’s colorful Pumpkinrace Land.

Racing pumpkin kits can be purchased at the event while supplies last. Prizes are given out in a variety of categories.

When? Sunday, October 30 from noon until 6pm

Kidspace Halloween Hunt

Hundreds of Halloween eggs and mini pumpkins are hidden throughout the Kidspace Gardens just waiting to be found. The Halloween Hunt fee is $3 per child.

Please note that the gardens will be closed to the general public before and during the Halloween hunts. Space is limited, so register online today by clicking here.

Though you can register your child for any hunt time, Kidspace suggests the following: 11am – kids 4 and under; 12pm hunt – kids 5 and older; 1pm hunt – kids of all ages

The day also includes crafts and mini-pumpkin decorating.

When? Sunday, October 30 at 11am, 12,  and 1pm

Halloween Hullabaloo

How about one more chance to try out those costumes before Halloween? Spend Sunday afternoon at AdventurePlex at the Halloween Hullabaloo! Your kids can show off their costumes while playing carnival style games and exploring the five-level play structure, all while you relax with free WI-FI and a snack from the Courtside Café.

Riviera Village Trick or Treat

This is your safest and most entertaining bet for Trick or Treating this Halloween. Check out the Riviera Village in South Redondo where your children can trick or treat from local businesses and you can enjoy some great take-out from any of the restaurants lining Catalina Ave.
